The Village Office is implementing guidance from federal and state health and election officials, and will communicate any alterations in normal procedures that are being implemented due to COVID-19 precautions.
There is currently no change to our scheduled office hours or election procedure on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. The polling location at the Village Hall/Fire Station at 113 Dougherty Court, Ridgeway, WI will remain open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on Election Day.
Voters are encouraged to vote absentee for this election. You may vote absentee by mail. This request for absentee ballot needs to be submitted in writing to the clerk’s office along with acceptable photo identification. You may also request an absentee ballot online at: myvote.wi.gov. Vulnerable individuals and individuals who may be ill or exposed to the virus should vote absentee or curbside on election day. Curbside voting will include having a paper ballot brought to you outside to your vehicle by two election inspectors who will issue you a ballot and take it inside to be cast and counted on election day.
The situation concerning COVID-19 and the upcoming election is fluid, quickly evolving and guidance changes daily. The Wisconsin Election Commission is working with federal and state public health officials to determine the most effective guidance to provide to local officials considering this public health event.
