01-29-19 Prevent water pipes from freezing

Due to the EXTREME cold weather it is HIGHLY recommended that you leave faucets dripping. A small drip will prevent water pipes from freezing. Also, keep cabinet doors open below sinks to allow the heat to help keep those pipes from freezing. No Garbage/Recycling week of January 28, 2019

Due to the impending inclement weather, the Village was notified by the hauler that there will be NO garbage/recycling pick up this week. Please do not put your bins out. Share this notice with those that may not see it.

 


01-18-19 Snow Emergency

The Village of Ridgeway is now under a snow emergency, effective at 5:00 pm this evening.
Ord. 4.02 (a ) A “Snow Emergency” exists whenever there is an accumulation of snow of three or more inches during a 24-hour period. Such accumulation interferes with the ability of vehicles to travel safely in the Village of Ridgeway and constitutes a public hazard impairing public health, safety and welfare. A snow emergency continues in effect for 48 hours after the snowfall has ended and until the snow has been removed from the streets or until the emergency is cancelled by the Director of Public Works.

Village of Ridgeway – Home We NEED you!!

Get involved, learn what it takes to successfully run the Village. The incumbents for President and a Trustee for The Village of Ridgeway did not timely file a Notification of Noncandidacy by the statutory deadline of December 21, 2018 and did not file the proper paperwork for access to the ballot by January 2, 2019. Per Wis. Stat. § 8.10(2)(a), the deadline for filing ballot access documents is extended for 72 hours for the President and Trustee. Any qualified electors may file a CF-1 Campaign Registration Statement, EL-162 Declaration of Candidacy and nomination papers containing at least 20 signatures of qualified electors of the Village of Ridgeway with the Village Clerk of the Village of Ridgeway no later than close of business on Monday, January 7, 2019. However, no signature of an elector on a nomination paper may be dated after Saturday, January 5th. The above mentioned forms are available on the Village website here

Holiday and Tax office hours

The Village of Ridgeway office will be closing at noon today, December 24th. The office will open on Wednesday, December 26th at 8am. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas ????????????

Office hours for tax collection will be Wednesday and Thursday, December 26-27 from 8am-5pm. Hours on Monday, December 31st will be from 8:00am-5pm


2019 Pet Licenses Available

Your 2018 dog licenses expire on December 31, 2018. The 2019 licenses are now available at the Village of Ridgeway Clerk’s office. Stop in with the required documentation during normal business hours. Click here for more information.
