This Week and Next for 2021 Infrastructure Improvements Project

Work accomplished the week of September 13, 2021:

  1. Water main installation on Keane Street.
  2. Installed fire hydrant at Keane/Pierce Streets.
  3. Installed water services on Keane Street, west of Weaver Street.
  4. Installed sanitary sewer laterals on Keane Street, west of Weaver Street.
  5. Rock trenching on Keane Street, east of Pierce Street.

Anticipated work to be completed the week of September 20, 2021:

  1. Finish water main installation on Keane Street.
  2. Finish sanitary sewer installation on Keane Street.
  3. Safe sample and pressure test water main on Keane Street (Weaver to dead-end).
  4. Water service and sanitary lateral installation on Keane Street.

Keane Street Construction Update

Work accomplished this week (September 6 – 10):

  1. Water main installation on Keane Street.

Anticipated work to be completed the week of September 13, 2021 (next week):

  1. Finish water main installation on Keane Street.
  2. Finish sanitary sewer installation on Keane Street.
  3. Safe sample and pressure test water main on Keane Street (Weaver to dead-end).
  4. Water service and sanitary sewer lateral installation on Keane Street.

2021 Street Projects Update

  1. Sanitary sewer connection at Richards Street and Keane Street.
  2. Water main installation on Keane Street.

Back to School – Bus Stops Active Starting Tomorrow!

Last year’s Keane Street Bus Stop is moved to the Ridgeway Community Center for the duration of construction. PLEASE do not park in front of the Community Center. Keep it open for safe school bus access and student pickup. The bus will be turning around in the south parking lot in front of the Marshal’s office.

2021 Infrastructure Improvements Construction Update

Anticipated work to be completed the week of August 16,2021:

  1. Install sanitary sewer main on Keane Street.

Work accomplished the week of August 9, 2021 (last week):

  1. Cored out Hughitt Street and provided breaker run and crushed aggregate base course (gravel).  The only thing remaining on Hughitt Street is hot mix asphalt (HMA) and yard restoration.

 


This week in Road Construction….

Anticipated work to be completed the week of August 9,2021: (Weather Permitting)

  1. Install sanitary sewer laterals on Hughitt Street.
  2. Continue installing sanitary sewer main on Keane Street.
  3. Delta 3 survey crew will be on-site Tuesday to stake subgrade on Hughitt Street.
  4. Contractor to begin undercutting Hughitt Street to subgrade.
  5. Install breaker run and gravel on Hughitt Street.

Work Completed the week of August 2, 2021:

  1. Safe sample and pressure test passed for the water main on Hughitt Street.
  2. Installed fire hydrant at Hughitt/Wells Streets.
  3. Completed sanitary sewer installation on Hughitt Street.
  4. Installed water services on Hughitt Street.

Construction Update – Village and County Info

2021 Infrastructure Improvements Update:

Work completed the week of July 26, 2021:

  1. Completed water main installation on Hughitt Street.
  2. Completed water main tie-in on Hughitt/Wells.
  3. Installed sanitary sewer main on Hughitt Street.

Anticipated work to be completed the week of August 2, 2021:

  1. Cable companies will be transferring their utilities from the old electric poles to the new electric poles on Monday or Tuesday.  After the transfer is complete, Alliant Energy will remove the old utility poles.
  2. Safe sample and pressure test the new water main on Hughitt Street on Monday and once given the go-ahead contractors will begin installing new water services on Hughitt Street.
  3. Finish installing the remainder of sanitary sewer main and begin installing sewer laterals on Hughitt Street.

When Hughitt Street items above are complete work will resume on the sanitary sewer mains along Keane Street.

County Highway Construction Update:

CTH HHH – Next week the CTH HHH overpass of USH 18/151 at Ridgeway will be reduced to one lane of traffic for some bridge deck epoxy overlay work.  The CTH HHH bridge leading into Ridgeway will be reduced to one lane of traffic using temporary traffic signals.  This work will start on Monday August 2nd and may last up to ten days depending on weather. Temporary traffic signals will direct traffic over the bridge, please expect some minor delays for the traffic queues.

USH 18/151 at the CTH BB Interchange – next week the USH 18/151 overpasses of CTH HHH at MM52 interchange will be reduced to one lane of traffic for the epoxy overlay project.  The work may take up to ten days depending on weather.


Water Shutoff – Extended Time

Water may be off for up to two more hours on Hughitt Street, Wells Street, Dougherty Court, Tallman Court, Cardinal Way, and 99-231 Main Street this Thursday, July 29th. Thank you for your patience while we get these water lines upgraded and tied into the system.


Hughitt Street Construction – Temporary Water Outage

Damage to a water line occurred during construction and water was temporarily shutoff while repairs are made. Service will be restored as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience! The planned water outage for main tie-ins will still take place on July 29th.
