What's flushable? What's Not?

Would you flush cotton swabs? Dental Floss? "Flushable" wipes?  - Your answer should be, "NO!".

Why?

Sewer systems are designed to only transport toilet paper, water, and human waste. Other items stay intact, do not disintegrate, and nylon in floss can wrap around all kinds of stuff and all can cause monster clogs.

Only plumbers appreciate "flushable" wipes! These items are regularly found in clogged pipes and broken pumps throughout the sanitary sewer system.

Only water, toilet paper, and personal waste should be flushed! Flushing anything else can lead to service interruptions and expensive repairs to home and municipal plumbing lines. When a clog or blockage occurs untreated sewage can backup into your home, your neighborhood, or our storm drains/waterways. Untreated sewage is a dangerous pollutant because it causes sudden increases in nitrogen and bacteria.
